Slumdog Millionaire the movie has been very successful because the movie was created from the novel Q & A Slumdog Millionaire which was authored by Vikas Swarup's the novel was released in 2005 novel. However Slumdog was produce on a low budget cost because it cost $15millionswhereas Pirates of the Caribbean cost $300million to make the film which is a huge about compared to Slumdog Millionaire.

Exhibition
The movie Slumdog millionaire was released on 9th January 2009 as an art-house film, but short after being released it crossed over and became a world wind movie, this was due to the amount of viewers wanting to see the film. After the movie was released the following weekend made £2 million in the UK by 11th January 2009 and also was shown in 324 screens over the UK.

Unfortunately, Six months ago, the director of the movie was suddenly informed that Warner Independent was being closed down. And recommended that the movie would be release straight-to-DVD.
That was before Fox Spotlight heard of Boyle's feel-good fable about contemporary Mumbai. They bought rights to the film for a song, and quietly went about turning it into a word of mouth smash hit.

Slumdog Millionaire was marketed in various ways for example radio, cinema,Internet, posters, their production company known as Pathé’ wanted the film to be marketed digital so that a large amount of people will be aware of the movie coming out. Also   they also had a digital media agency called Tug to work with them raising awareness of the film in the UK and at the same time targeting at a specific target audience such as Middle aged people/ Indian film lovers and followers of Danny Boyle. Also the production company Pathé’ also made the film available for viewing.
